This affluent Chinese Maserati owner chose a very public and damaging way to protest against a Maserati dealership in Qindao as a result of receiving poor customer service…

He parked his own $420,000 supercar outside a convention centre where a major auto show was taking place and then hired four men to take sledgehammers to smash it to pieces.

Historical Figures Transformed Into Modern Illustrations

A recent project commissioned by the UK’s history TV channel Yesterday has artists transforming historical portraits into modern day interpretations. The series is meant to celebrate the station’s new series, The Secret Life Of…, which is described as 14-part series that “lifts the lid on established and renowned superstars from history to reveal their secret lives.”The episodes will cover the lives of Henry VIII, Queen Elizabeth I, Marie Antionette, and others with a tongue-in-cheek approach that will have viewers laughing and learning at the same time. Over the course of three months, each artist worked closely with history experts, and specifically Dr. Suzannah Lipscomb, to ensure that their 21st century portraits portrayed accurate details. The modern interpretations allow viewers to gain a bit of insight and understanding into the culture of the past by comparing social norms like wardrobe, make-up, and backgrounds to today’s world.

Sombre Images From Inside The Wreckage Of Car Crashes

Here’s a photographic series that is a sombre as it is compelling. Danish photographer Nicolai Howalt has crawled inside the wreckage of numerous car crashes and captured those final moments of impact. There is no blood, no mention of the drivers or details about how the accident or crash happened – yet each car featured has either been in a severe and potentially fatal accident. Collectively they serve as a stark and sombre reminder of the dangers of driving carelessly and without caution on the road.

There’s something a little dream-like about Howlat’s powerful and visually confronting work. You can’t help but imagine what it might have been like had it been you sitting in those front seats, that sharp twinge and recognition of our own mortality and a very real fear of what fate may have had in store for the future.

“Mother Earth Sister Moon” is an enormous inflatable version of the spacesuit worn by the first woman to travel into space, cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova. The spacesuit features a tent-like interior that visitors can enter. The installation has been exhibited several times since its debut in 2009. Stoopid Tall, a Freakishly Tall Bike

Los Angeles-based cinematographer and bike fiend Richie Trimble unveiled Stoopid Tall, a freakishly tall bike, at last Sunday’s CicLAvia open street event in Los Angeles. The hand-built bike is 14.5 feet tall at the seat and has a 32-foot-long bicycle chain. Trimble recorded his nerve-wracking 20 mile ride to Venice Beach with a GoPro camera that was attached to his chest. He managed to complete the ride without incident, though he nearly got wedged under a highway overpass. Make sure to watch the amzing video.

Richie says the scariest part of his journey, riding under the 405 freeway.“That moment was amazing because you see the freeway coming. I could see the top of the cars going by and I had never seen that before. And everyone is cheering for me to touch the bridge. I reach up and high five the bridge. As I go under, I drag my hand along the top and I’m thinking,”
Richie says the moment he rode along the Venice pier was a beautiful connection with nature, seeing water on both sides, he recalls, “Falling right now might not be that bad, it could be a lot of FUN!”

Icelandic comedian chutney Mar Agustson organized a campaign to raise funds for a girl Tijana awaiting heart surgery .

Iceland’s performances tend to draw attention to the matter at hand. Having gathered a certain amount of money to help Tijani, chutney promised to wax my chest and if you collect more than 50,000 Icelandic Krona. That’s what happened.

” He was very proud of myself and all the friends who have paid the money. Regularly asks us to inform you that the whole thing is progressing and whether Tijana arrived safely in Houston, what is now waiting …” said Mary Karimanović, who lives in Iceland.

” We thought it was nice to remind people that the money is still needed and that does not stop the collection now that Tijana in Houston,” she noted.

The eight-year Tijana Ognjanović recently transferred to a hospital in Houston .

Ten Thousand iPhones Domino [Video]

We’ve seen a lot of things fall like dominoes over the years, but this is a first for 10,000 iPhones. I would like to tell you that each one of these iPhones was meticulously placed in perfect alignment so this incredible maze could fall to perfection, but these are CG iPhones. On second thought, that could be even more impressive. This video was just uploaded to YouTube two days ago, and of course it’s already gone viral. The idea behind it is brilliant.

The creative minds at Aatma Studio decided to imagine an advertisement for the iPhone 5S if it has NFC capabilities. As you know, if it has NFC, content will be able to be passed from one iPhone to the next by just touching the screens together. They decided the best way to highlight this would be to use 10,000 CG iPhone 5s that fall like dominoes, and that touch screens in the process.

Nobody knows for sure yet if the iPhone 5S will have NFC, but if it does, this would be a great television commercial. As I watch this, I can’t help but wonder how they put it all together. Since all these iPhones are CG, I suppose that means at the very beginning when the people all watched it start, it was staged since there weren’t really iPhones there. Love it!

So sit back and watch this very well-done short video. The team that created this did such a great job, and it really showcases their skills. It will definitely keep you entertained for a minute.
